Anna Charlotta was born in the province of Småland in Southern Sweden. Information on ancestry identifies at least six siblings. Information on her and her siblings is undeveloped and I’m hesitant to just blindly accept hints on ancestry. There is limited information on her siblings and what records there are, are difficult to decipher.
1. 1856 Emma Gustava
2. 1858 Carl Johan
3. 1861 Frans Emil
4. 1864 Maria Kristaina
5. 1867 Hilma Charlotta-died in infancy
6. 1869 Anna Charlotta
7. 1872 Selma Sofia
She married Charles August Isackson in March,1890 and became a mother five months later in August 1890 when Edith August was born.
A few weeks later, Charles left Sweden to join older siblings Johanna Mathilda and Albert who previously immigrated to America. It will be four years until she embarks on her own journey, in April 1894, with 4-year-old daughter Edith August when they traveled to Washington State.
There are no records to indicate any of her siblings or family members emigrated from Sweden.
In the future I hope to get more information on her siblings and family.
For now, we will settle for this. Anna Charlotta is one of eight children and as far as I can see, she is the only one who left Sweden. All of her ancestors are from the province of Småland.
Unknowns are why the immigration dates vary when Anna Charlotta immigrated to America. Some census records have it documented 1890 and another one has it 1893 and yet another one in 1895. If we rely on the “Sweden Emigrants Registered in Church Books 1783-1991.” She departed Sweden 18 April 1894. Which adds up with a birth date for Henry Carl in March of 1895.
